Japanese Aikuchi mounts on a wood tsunagi. The mounts are in Cloisone enamel and are in excellent condition. These mounts are from the meiji period circa 1880's. A pair of Japanese Aikuchi from the same workshop. From the Meiji period,1890's. These are high quality export work.The laquer work is signed by the artist, Ho Sho Kusai ,and is high quality. The blades are basic forged and oil quenched and in bright polish. The blades are unsigned.
The artist has signed the back of the saya on both daggers.
