A Japanese Kabuto, a helmet. A battle weight, sixteen plate iron bowl. The laquer finish is a red/brown mixture. Circa Edo period 1700-50. In good condition for its age. A Japanese Tsuba in iron and Katana sized. From the mid Edo period 1680-1750. Signed Soheishi Niudo Soten. Looks first generation signature, only two generations listed. Has a design of samurai warriors, plenty of gold and silver still left. Has some light old rust spots but overall condition is good. A fine tsuba and good example of its kind.
