A Japanese Iron Tsuba. Large rounded square shape with hammered rim. Signed Masa Mori, 4 smiths used this name, only one used 2 kanji. Circa 1656-1731. Specialised in fine Kebori work. Design has incised linesfeaturing a Chinese village and boat sails. Possibly this smith. Size 80mm across and 86mm high. Nice brown/black patina, some old rust. Good for its age.
