Looks late Muromachi period, 1500-80. Blade is in very good original polish. Hamon is Ko-Midare with Nie
crystals. The forging has Bizen/Yamato traits. Has a set

A Japanese Aikuchi (dagger). This high quality dagger was
made as a going away gift to a new bride from her father, a samurai family tradition. The forged blade is early Edo period and in fine polish. The mounts are top quality 19th century period, black laquer and silvered. The design is of a tree and flowers. There is a small amount of wear to the saya. The overall length is 8". Japanese Aikuchi Mounts.

Japanese Aikuchi mounts on a wood tsunagi. The mounts are in Cloisone enamel and are in excellent condition. These mounts are from the meiji period circa 1880's. The mounts would fit a blade 11.5" in length and the tang 15mm across and 5mm thick. This is the best quality export work and rare to find in such good condition.

A Japanese Katana in late war emergency mounts. This is a basic arsenal made heavy blade 25.5" in length. There is some trace of a notare hamon with noi. The blade is scratched and has old dirt and rust marks. The mounts are emergency grade and quite crude. There is no original saya and has been placed in a new unfinished saya. Despite its condition this would make a good restoration project. U.K SALES ONLY.

This is a Gendaito with a badly forged blade. It is unsigned.
The blade has several flaws, chips and kizu. The hilt is munition quality and has an old iron tsuba. The saya is modern as the previous owner used it for martial arts. A scarce period piece despite its flaws. U.K SALES ONLY.

A pair of Japanese Aikuchi from the same workshop. From the Meiji period,1890's. These are high quality export work.The laquer work is signed by the artist, Ho Sho Kusai ,and is high quality. The blades are basic forged and oil quenched and in bright polish. The blades are unsigned.
The artist has signed the back of the saya on both daggers.
